My Cuties

Allison figured out how to make her legs disappear. Then... POP goes Bug!

My little breakdancers. Allison thought she'd be a little pinkster!

(those are kallyn's boots and hat!)

My Little Ballerina!

That dark spot under Bug's head is sweat!!! She is such a hot sleeper! We often times find the two girls cuddled up together fast asleep in Kallyn's bed.

Daddy came home for dinner today! He was so tired! After Falling asleep on the living room floor, Allison still couldn't get enough of him being home. She was so content to just cuddle with him and be next to him. It was a sweet moment for daddy.

I've been trying really hard to get my craft corner unpacked and put away. Every time I go into the office room to start I end up with an even bigger mess! And I didn't do it! Allison LOVES my ink pads. Can you tell?

Kallyns favorite pastime

Kallyn LOVES to color. it is the one activity that she will do for hours at a time. She totally zones out when she has paper and something to color with. Tuesday we colored leaves (rub crayons over paper with leaves underneath) at the park and she even persuaded two of the other moms to color with her. This is her latest crayon project. Taking all the wrappers off the crayons so she can rub the crayons next time. Notice how she color categorized the wrappers. What a cutie! I have a genuine artist!

Allison's masterpiece

Allison loves to color too!
And color,
and color some more!

Mommy doesn't love Allison to color!
She has colored my walls,
the fridge door,
the table and cutting board you see in the picture,
the floors.
my craft bins,
my Laptop lid...
should i keep going?
Mommy's lesson...
no more coloring!
(with the exception of when Bug's taking a nap)
Somehow a bag of chocolaty Marshmallow Maties jumped into my shopping cart last week. I stopped buying cereals with marshmallows because the cereal gets left in the milk. Waste of cereal and waste of milk. Allison had not discovered marshmallows yet. I turn my back for a second to use the restroom. Can you find any marshmallows in this picture?

I've been finding little chocolate cereal balls everywhere, but i'll give you one guess where the marshmallows went!

Monday night has never been a formal Family Night. Eric used to play Softball on a city league on Monday nights so that was usually considered our FHE. But now Eric is hoe on Monday Nights so we've challenged ourselves to make it a regular event. So our first formal FHE we played in the leaves. The girls had so much fun playing with daddy. And I enjoyed the family time together without the stress of pushing Eric out the door to study or keep the girls quiet while he worked on a paper. And now I am having fun playing witht he pictures from the activity. Enjoy!

We went to Beech Hill Farm for a playgroup. The girls love going to the farm for icecream. But they also have animals and pumpkins that the girls had a blast looking at. Especially the giant pumpkin!

Here's the story...

I had to pick up Eric from school at 3:00 but Allison was tired and falling asleep. So I put her in the car at 2:30 and took my time getting Kallyn into the car. So I'm leaving with plenty of time to get to the school by 3:00, Allison was asleep and I was taking my time for once. Before i got into the car I double checked the carseats to make sure they were tight. Just after I drove out of the driveway Allison started crying. So I'm thinking she lost her binki, kallyn stole her blanket, kallyn's kicking her carseat, hitting her, making faces... Anything is possible with those two. So I, being in mommy mode, looked back to assess the situation. Just as I turned to look forward I saw a tree and BOOM! The road turned and I kept going straight. I tried to turn to steering wheel, but I think that I turned it just as I hit the tree. Because my left arm was under the airbag I had some burns from it deploying. Also my right arm pushed passed the steering wheel while my hand tried to hold on. I also had a friction burn from the seatbelt on my neck. Other than that we walked away. Kallyn was a little traumatized, but she's over it now. Especially since we got her a new carseat and replaced the car. She loves to tel the story. She says "Mommy bumped into a tree and killed it really bad and the car is very very broken". She had x-rays taken of her neck just to be sure that she and Allison were alright. She held so still the technitions were so surprised that she was soooo calm and very curious. I am just so grateful that we were all alright and our neighbors were there to help us. We are very blessed!

The much waited for picture of the remains of the infamous tree

Actually, there isn't much left. I waited too long to take a picture. I guess there is a lot of people here that pick up branches and dead wood along the roads for firewood. It's pretty much this heavy trunk left. You can't really tell where the stump is in this picture. I'll try to get a better one.

Check out the new set of wheels...

Eric surprised me on thursday and we bought a new van. It's another Honda Odyssey. What can I say... He spoils me! We test drove a lot of other vans and nothing measured up to our expectations from driving an Odyssey this last year. We actually got a better '07 model (Leather and seat warmers! Oh Yeah!) for less than what we bought the '06 van for. We have been so blessed in our time of need. We have found new friendship in the other law student families here. And even though we are so far from our families out here we have found those friendships to be a great substitute. Thankyou so much to everyone that has helped us out these last few weeks!!!

Describe your life as a mother...

This comedian wraps it all up. My friend e-mailed this to me and I can't stop laughing! Thankyou Ali! So true! It really makes me appreciate my mother. Thanx mom for all you did for me and my siblings!
